Daynl Johnson should have not been voted off according to Louis Walsh.

Daynl, who performed ‘Man In The Mirror’ and ‘I Have Nothing’ came last in the public vote.

Speaking about Daynl’s departure, Louis said: “I watched the show when I went home last night and he was the best performer of the night and I’m honestly gutted he has gone.

“He has star quality. He has stage presence and I think he totally deserved to be in the final. For me, he should have been in the final.”

Mentor Simon Cowell added: “I was gutted for him because I really think did a great performance on Saturday… I was frustrated… I really think he gave it so much last night, I watched it back and he was really, really good.”

Louis previously stated that Joe McElderry who is mentored by Cheryl Cole will “walk it” and win.
